Welcome
to Eastlake! The Eastlake Community Council (ECC) hosts this web page
as a service to its members, and its neighbors in Eastlake, and the
nearby neighborhoods on the shores of Lake Union. Whether Eastlake is
your home, or you are just passing through this great community, we
hope that you find this website useful.
Eastlake
is a community in Seattle, Washington that lies between the eastern
shore of Lake Union and the western side of I-5. Eastlake Avenue
bisects the neighborhood running one and a half miles, from the length
of the University Bridge at the north end to the Fairview Eastlake
intersection at the south end. Founded
in 1971, the Eastlake Community Council is a neighborhood organization
that "fosters and encourages a sense of community among people who live
and work in the neighborhood and to promote programs and distribute
information benefiting the neighborhood". To
learn more about our Eastlake neighborhood and its many fine residents,
organizations, and businesses, please take a moment to look around. We
hope that you will become an active member of our community both online
and at our many events and activities here in the neighborhood. Please
join in on the conversation here online and at our next public meeting,
comment and let us know what you think.
